In the distant 1985 the Bulgarian National Weightlifting Coach Ivan Abadjiev discussed a number of things about physical endurance in professional athletes. Then, for the first time we heard that Abadjiev himself invented a formula of amino acids that would help in the outcome of competition. This formula had no name, it was called "bull's testicles".
As a collaborator in the NIHVI (Bulgarian state biochemical company, where for years I have been making research on the insuline hormone. I was interested in this substance and started to investigate it, while at the same time began to help him with the fabrication by removing some of the intermediate processes.
The result was 13% higher for all athletes who took this substance. In the 1990s, we intensified the testing of all his athletes, with all the doping specimens given after the use of the "bull's testicles" were negative. The ratios of testosterone and epitestosterone never exceeded 4:1
In the analysis of the substance of bull's testicles, a high content of zinc, which is one of the main components of the hormone testosterone, was noted. There was also a high amount of cholesterol, which is the main component of male hormone testosterone. We thought that the active substance is the residual testosterone, but the thermogenic treatment of the substance goes up to 180 °C, the testosterone resits up to 140 °C, so there is no residual testosterone, as many people think.
At the core of the function of bull's testicles extract is the specific qualitative combination of amino acids that stimulate purine and pyrimidine bases in human DNA that have a direct effect on testosterone production.
Towards the end of the 90's I was contacted by the weightlifter Nikolay Peshalov, who had broken his relationship with the Bulgarian weightlifting federation and had begun to compete for Croatia. He asked me to make him a small batch of the substance because he already knew it and he wanted to use it in the preparation for the Olympic games in Sydney.
In 2000 in Sydney, Nikolay Peshalov became the first Olympic champion in the history of Croatia thanks to this substance, with all his doping tests before and during the Olympiad being negative.
I just want to note - Nikolay Peshalov is one of the few Bulgarian weightlifters who have never been caught with doping!
The substance of bull's testicles, known today as Testiculin contains up to 77% protein and very low quantity of ash, making it a pure source of amino acids ideal for both professional athletes and beginners.
